A special training for internal management was held in Nanjing International Expo Center (NIEC) on the afternoon of April 16. All middle-level managers of the company attended the training delivered by an invited expert.
The training was unfolded from three aspects of performance management, namely, fundamental knowledge, assessing tools, and actual practice, providing a systematic training on the philosophy, techniques, and procedures of performance management. Basically solving all the current confusions related to performance management for managers, the training was very productive, helping the on-going reform and optimization of NIEC’s compensation & performance assessing system.
Exhibitions and big gatherings were suggested to stay closed to prevent clustering infection, according to the Circular About Making Arrangement on Epidemic Prevention and Control for Key Venues, Units and Groups, issued on April 6 by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council.
It was a big challenge and also an obligation for NIEC to mitigate the epidemic impacts and orderly resume exhibitions while emphasizing epidemic prevention and control. To improve internal management, NIEC rolled out a series of trainings for middle-level managers based on its near-term working priorities, in order to coordinate the COVID-19 response and its own operation.
When exhibitions were halted during the epidemic period, NIEC took the chance to improve its internal management. NIEC made an over-all plan to make solid progress in key projects and daily operation on one hand, and to boost its cultural construction, managing system and staff performance on the other hand. Getting well prepared for better and faster development after the epidemic, NIEC managed to balance epidemic prevention and control as well as its own development.
