An emergency exercise for response to epidemic prevention and control during exhibitions was conducted among exhibitors and organizers in Nanjing International Expo Center (NIEC) on May 13, 2020. After thorough risk evaluation with these organizations, NIEC has made detailed plans for epidemic prevention and control and on-site supporting measures.
As epidemic prevention and control has become a regular practice, the nation’s economicand social orders are gradually getting back to normal. The State Council on May 8 issued a set of guideline to facilitate regular prevention and control of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemic.The document noted that necessary conferences and exhibitions were to be opened, which has greatly shored up the confidence for exhibitors to overcome the current difficulties.
In accordance with the law of Infectious Disease Prevention Actand Regulations on Emergency Response to Public Health Events, NIEC strictly followed the guidelines for regular prevention and control, arranging requirements for early prevention and control, as well as on-site supporting measures as follows:
I. Reservations. All visitors need to make online reservations in advance, including personal information, visiting time period and the number of companions. Organizers will monitor and control the crowd capacity at peak hours.
II. Information checks. People entering the center should take strict checking of identities, and QR health code, which is only allowed when it’s green.
III. Registration. All working staff of the exhibiting enterprises need to register with their real names.
IV. Temperature check. People should take temperature check at the entrance halls, before they are permitted to get into the halls.
V. Face mask. All people, no matter workers, exhibitors, construction workers or visitors, should wear facial mask. Extra masks will be prepared by the organizers in case someone forgets to wear one.
VI. Disinfection. Public places such as washrooms, aisles, hallways, and dining areas, will be disinfected at least once a day, and NIEC will arrange personnel responsible for this. All the exhibited items and booths will also be carefully disinfected.
VII. Emergencies. NIEC has set up a medical spot, which also serves as the temporary quarantine spot. Anyone with a fever or other health problems can be sent to the spot for treatment.
